More Fun on Saturdays

By now everyone knows that we have our Saturday morning ritual down to a science. If everyone is cooperating, we get out the door by 8:30, go to breakfast, and then head to the mall for playtime on the Speedway. I just had to add this video to the blog so you could see how much personality she really has when she's playing. This one is my favorite! Brienna is learning that the camera shows a picture on the screen. What she doesn't know is that I am trying to film her and she can't be behind the camera and in the video at the same time!

We have several other videos to post, and we will continue to add at least one every night until all posts are caught up! At the same time, I'm also digging back into photos over the last two months and I'll get those posted. Just keep checking back on the previous dates to find stuff from February and March!

Brienna Teaches Ellie

This was one of the first videos I shot of the girls together. Just before I grabbed the camera, Brienna was excited about showing her old toy to Ellie. Unfortunately, when I pulled the camera out, Brienna stopped sharing. The only consolation for this is that Mom looked stunning that day and I got a little bit of her on camera (a rare episode for those of you who know us well)! I hope you enjoy it!

A Warning to All the Women I Love

Ok ladies. As if we didn't have enough working against us with heart disease being such a silent and deadly scare for us and breast cancer on the rise, there is a new breast cancer threat you should all be aware of. It's called inflammatory breast cancer. It's silent and deadly. It's the most aggressive breast cancer out there that we know of! It doesn't form lumps and isn't readily caught by a mammogram. Check out the videos in my side panel. Pay close attention and don't take a day for granted!

Brienna's Newest Addiction

Brienna had so much fun! This weekend she discovered how to hunt for Easter eggs. Her school had an egg hunt on Thursday, but instead of collecting her own eggs, she would give her eggs to everyone else in her class! At the end of the day, the teachers had to even out the eggs!

Yesterday afternoon Omi hid Brienna's eggs during nap time. When Boo got up it was time to hunt for more eggs. We ended up hunting for eggs for over two hours! It was so much fun! It has been a while since Brienna had a passion for something new. Here's the second hunt we did with Daddy, Mommy, Ellie and Brienna. Daddy hasn't quite mastered the camera yet, but he enjoyed the time with the girls. Brienna hopefully will get over her new-found fear of tree branches soon! Hope you enjoy our latest video!

Today we went to another Easter party with people from Omi's church. While Mommy played volleyball with some of the other adults, the older children helped hide and find Easter eggs with Boo while Ellie got passed around to the rest of the women and inducting some of them to the Ellie Spit-Up Hall of Fame! It was a great time - and I even made some new friends. I can't wait until the next get-together for Brienna. She's really starting to come out of her shell and even learning to share with others. I'm so proud of her!

First Family Video

I know it has been a long time since the last post (two months to the day actually). Don't worry, I'll play catch-up in between now and then. But I couldn't help posting this before anything else. I finally got the hang of the video camera and figured out how to download our family videos online! I'm so excited!

Many of you know about our Saturday morning outings with the girls. Our little family goes to breakfast and then heads to the mall to play on the Speedway. We get there early enough most weeks to avoid the thirty other children that like to play in the mornings. Here is one of the videos I shot of Brienna. She's such a brave little girl - she'll try anything at least once!
